Loneliness is the first clue
This piece reflects a time of quiet disconnection - of feeling alone even when surrounded by others. Beneath a life that looked “right” on the outside, getting my dream position as a physiotherapist after 4 long years of study, there was a growing sense of not quite belonging, a subtle but persistent pull inward.
Searching for something that would help keep me afloat, I found something not new, but a return to drawing. To the thing I loved doing so much as a child, but had let slip away. Drawing turned into painting and what started as a flicker slowly became a guiding light - one that led back to a deeper sense of self, and ultimately, a new path.
This tree stands in that in-between. Alone, yet not empty. Rooted in stillness, yet full of quiet possibility. It speaks to the moment where loneliness shifts from something to resist, into something to listen to - a gentle signal pointing you back toward what feels true.
A reminder that sometimes, feeling lost is not the end - but the very beginning.
Plus the 6 mini paintings that inspired this piece will also be available through this collection.
